Solar is still a realistic potential option for you. The Government has introduced a 100% Business Rates exemption for eligible plant and machinery used in onsite renewable energy generation and storage, such as roof top solar from 2023 to 2035.
In the March 2023 budget the government amended the rules so that businessses can claim a 100% first year capital allowances on the cost of purchasing and installing solar panels, meaning the entire cost of the project can be deducted from taxable profit in the first year.
