Funding Methods
Helping your business meet the twin challenges of rising costs and financial forecasting
Solar Commercial Ltd (SCL) develop design and install solar solutions whilst enabling the project to go ahead with zero capital contribution from the freeholder or occupier. Whilst our fully funded approach is flexible and subject to our investment committee approval, an option is for SCL to maintain ownership of the installed solar array, then supply electricity to the occupier via a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). Alternatively we can advise, model then deliver the project, gaining all necessary approvals for you, to own the scheme outright. We are very flexible in our approach and open to discussion about alternative funding models if so desired.
Fully Funded
Our fully funded solution requires no upfront Capex or Opex and guarantees savings on your current electricity bill. Typical cost reductions are circa 20% - 25% but can be significantly higher, dependent on your existing supplier terms and building design.
We will normally take a 25.5 year lease and at the end of the term ownership reverts to the Landlord, with the system still operating at a predicted efficiency rate of circa 80%. With energy prices forecast to rise over the net 10 years, commercial solar panels provide financial stability, with a set price index linked, making financial forecasting and budgeting much easier.
Joint Venture or Ownership
For organisations who wish to invest capital or self fund we can advise on the potential design, obtain all necessary consents, build and then hand over on completion of the project. Alternatively a hybrid or a joint venture arrangement is possible, which can be a matter of discussion. Typically we would suggest a side by side approach.
Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging
New petrol and diesel cars will be banned from sale by 2030. EV's and charging facilities are already a vital part of the employers infrastructure. Employers with off street parking can benefit from the government funded Workplace Charging Scheme, which reduces the cost a new workplace EV charge point by 75% , capped at £500 per socket and a maximum of 20 charge points.

Solar car ports are a dynamic solution, which visibly transform your parking facilities and can provide significant additional power. The structures provide sheltered, dedicated solutions, making EV's truly emission free, by generating power from green electricity. Or they can be used to feed into your existing building supply further reducing costs in high demand locations.
